Q: How will applications be evaluated and either approved or rejected?

A: The Prometheus Foundation Awards Committee will select Grant recipients based on an applicant’s merit, financial need, and a proposal. Applicants will be notified in writing of the Committee’s decision. The Committee meets every three months in January, April, July and October.

Q: What type of documentation do I need to submit for a scholarship grant?

A: Along with a completed application form you must submit:

  • A resume complete with educational, professional and extracurricular activities, honors, awards and other accomplishments
  • Proposal which explains your plans, including what are you applying to do (incl. Evidence of Acceptance/Offer from the institution)
    • University/College
    • Major/Program
    • Intended start date
    • Expected completion year
  • A budget – must include information about sources of your annual income incl. financial aid
  • A transcript – if available. If not, please explain in the proposal

Q: Will recommendations and/or references from professors, supervisors or others help me receive a grant?

A: Yes, please ask your current or most recent supervisor(s), and/or current or former employers for references and send them directly to us via email to grantsadministrator@prometheusfdn.org
